Ankle and Foot Tattoo Designs Can be Unique, Cute, & Creative

These days, tattoos tend to differ in both style and placement---especially ankle foot tattoos.  This is why tattoos are considered as one of the most intriguing ways of expressing individuality.  You can ultimately decide what type of tattoo design you want and where you wish to have it displayed on your body.  Hence, what may be the best placement and style for your friends may not be the best for you.

Don’t feel discouraged if you still aren’t exactly sure what type of tattoo you want to get and whether or not you should put it on your ankle, foot, or elsewhere on your body.  There are plenty of choices out there---you just need to know what to take into consideration.

Here are some facts about foot and ankle tattoos:

·    Foot tattoos are normally more painful than ankle tattoos.  This is because the skin on the foot is thinner and closer to the bone.  The closer that your skin is to the bone, the more painful your tattoo will be.  However, because foot tattoos tend to be on the small side anyway, you won’t have to endure pain for very long.

·    A foot tattoo can be easily concealed.  You may have to work a professional job or hope to eventually have one.  Tattoos usually aren’t considered to be professional looking.  If you stick with an ankle or foot tattoo design, you will be able to keep it concealed easily whenever you need to.

·    However, you need to be aware that while your tattoo is healing, it’s strongly advised that you don’t have it concealed.  Wear sandals and no socks.  It usually takes two to three weeks for a foot or ankle tattoo to heal.  If it’s absolutely required that you wear shoes in the meantime, you need to wear two pair of loose socks.

·    Foot tattoos are almost always considered to be sexy.  Opinions vary on what tattoos look good on people.  Even people who don’t usually like tattoos on others don’t seem to mind foot tattoos in the slightest, and even consider them to be sexy or pretty!

·    Foot tattoo designs usually need to be touched up more often than tattoos on other parts of the body.  This is due to the fact that the tattoo on your foot is exposed to harsher weather conditions as opposed to tattoos on other parts of the body.  After some time, the ink from your foot tattoo will spread out some and make the tattoo look less vibrant than it should be.

There are plenty of popular foot tattoos.  Some of the most popular designs feature symbols and elements such as:  stars, words, fairies, and flowers.  However, you can always work with a good tattoo artist in creating something unique and personal.

If you don’t want to go with any common elements featured with foot and ankle tattoos, you can simply try to work something out with a skilled artist.  Just remember that the more complex the tattoo, the more painful it will be.  Furthermore, large, intricate tattoos are usually expensive.
